Last Day in Austin!

Saturday was all about the State Capitol and floating on the river.

We met up with fellow Canadian and iStocker, Randy and had lunch at a nice little Irish Pub then headed off to take pics of the State Capitol building:

After that, we made our way down to the river to check out the bats - yes, bats - streaming out from under the Congress St Bridge:

Unfortunately, a parade on top of the bridge seemed to make the bats skittish and they didn't actually come out until well after dark so we didn't get any good pictures.

But we had fun just floating on the river:

Friday in Austin was all about two things - Tattoos & Bikes!

First thing in the morning, we went to True Blue Tattoo:

So Lesa, Garth and Bruce could get some *really* wild looking tattoos!

Then we hung around downtown for the Republic of Texas Bike Rally Parade - ever stood on the side of the street while 60,000 Harleys rode past? You might not want to do it twice but once was awfully cool!
