Going to a Yankees Game!

The tours do not happen on the day of the game, you can, for free, line up and walk through monument park on the day of the game, but make sure you make a beeline down the left field line inside the stadium corridor as soon as the gates open. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the stadium. If you have not tried to get to the stadium and park your car on the day of the game it is tough to explain how crowded and confusing it is.

"There are no tours prior to day games or on weekends when the New York Yankees play at home."

We're going to a night game so there should be a tour. They sold me tickets to the 1pm Game Day Tour. :)

Oh, we'll take the train/subway. No way we'll try driving down there.

Assumed you were going to one of the weekend games. The tour does take place on Friday for Friday games.

The line queues up very early and then they cut it off. Your tour should include monument park, but for anyone going to a game you can line up and tour monument park before each game.

The area around the Stadium is to say the least not great. You will have to find something to do between your 1:00 tour and the gates opening at 5:00. There are some neighborhood taverns, but do not wander too far.

You might not get batting practice for night games, especially since both teams will be coming in from games on Thursday.

Enjoy..It is the best and will unfortunately not be around long.

I have taken my son who is now 8 many times and each time we go we both audibly gasp when we see the blue of the seats and the green of the grass.

Well the Yankees might have spanked the Mariners a few times but they got spanked right back as well and I think the Mariners used a paddle. It must have been fun.
