Your workshop

I am interested in taking the workshop Shawn and Lesa are doing at MacWorld Expo but signed up for the photo safari workshop last year and was disappointed-it was all camera and no photoshop. Will this be the same or different. Youhave described it as being camera in morning and photoshop in afternoon. Las tyear it was camera, then shoot, then critique all afternoon...

Ours will be exactly as you

Ours will be exactly as you think it will - I'll be teaching "camera stuff" in the morning, the critiquing will be done during/shortly after lunch, and Lesa will be doing Photoshop and Elements stuff all afternoon.

We *might* touch a bit on Lightroom - more along the lines of "here is a tool you can use" than any kind of in depth stuff on Lightroom, though. Hope that helps.

thanks-for the quick

thanks-for the quick response-I'll get myself enrolled-now for the other question-nikon or canon? both are running specials on entry level slr's

Nikon or Canon?

Like the other "Important Questions of Life" (Mac vs PC? Ford vs Chevy? Paper vs Plastic?), this one is up to you. :)

If you are a beginning photographer, it really doesn't matter. Both manufacturers (along with the others - Pentax, Olympus, Sony, Panasonic) all make great cameras for the beginner. Go for the one that has a price point and feature set *you* like.

Or, wait until after our Macworld class when you'll know even more. :)
