Yes, there’s only one right answer to this question. If you’re not recommending a Mac (with Leopard) to a friend or family member, you’re doing them an extreme disservice. Consumers need to understand that yesterday’s arguments don’t apply.

I'd like to add one more reason people stay with Windows that Chris touches, but doesn't explicitly state: Many people see the computer as an end unto itself. They like futzing with things, poking, tuning, adding, tweaking, etc., and they often need commodity hardware and it's corresponding OS to do that.
