video on Mac
I am looking for a solution for getting video from a camcorder to show up for display on a video projector for a presentation?
- Can I display video from a video camcorder directly into a video projector.
- Can I display video through my mac laptop via Powerpoint or through some other app and switch between Powerpoint and the video app?
- The price tap is an issue too: For camcorder and app I need this solution to cost under $1000.

If your camcorder has video
If your camcorder has video out and the projector has video in *and* you can find the right cabling, it should work.
You could plug the camcorder into the Mac, use iMovie to "present" it on screen and switch back and forth to PP.

Thank you for the suggestion. Is there a way to make this live video in iMovie go full screen or would it be better to find another app to display the video?

You'd have to try it out
You'd have to try it out ahead of time but I believe iMovie will allow full screen from the camcorder. Don't know how it would react to switiching back and forth from PP though.
