"America's Scenic Byways" Free!
USDOT is promoting America's Scenic Byways by giving everyone who asks a free book. Here's the link for your free "brochure", which, as it turns out, is actually a very nice book that you can see on Amazon.com. It's called "National Geographic Guide to Scenic Highways and Byways" and costs $16.50 there!
Not the National Geographic book
I just got my free brochure/book from the US DOT. It is in no way the same as the book linked on Amazon. It is a cheap relatively poor government public service book, with mediocre information at best. If this book is worth $2 I would be surprised.

That's really strange, Steve. Other folks on Twitter have reported they got the "real" book and are loving it. I still haven't gotten mine though. :(
