New to MacWorld

I'm seriously considering MacWorld for the first time this year (again), but this time it looks like it might happen. I'm concerned that picking up a platinum pass to attend two powertools classes (aperture and photoshop) is going to leave me with no time for anything else. Can anyone offer insight/advice? I'm not particularly keen on attending the keynote. I just want to get my money's worth for the vacation time I'll have to take to attend.

How long are the two classes

How long are the two classes you want to attend? Expo runs from the Monday to the Friday - surely they can't take up *all* that time! :)

And BTW, there's no capital W in "Macworld".

class length, macworld contagion, spelling

The classes are the all day variety: 11 - 6:30. I think this is typical of the tools track. The first is Monday and Tuesday. The second is Wednesday and Thursday. Friday (with the platinum pass) would be taken up with a "Market Symposium" (probably Macworld pulse). I'm thinking that spending THAT much time in class is not a good idea the first time around :), but I really want to sharpen the Aperture and Photoshop skills. Just wondering if I'm biting off too much. I don't want to run my immune system down. Could be fatal :)

As for the W in Macworld, I apologize. I was actually looking at some bad copy when I typed it. I used to program in a language called Smalltalk and was incensed when folks would spell it SmallTalk. I've had my sensitivity training and should have been more careful.

"Just wondering if I'm

"Just wondering if I'm biting off too much."

Problem is, until you bite off too much, you won't know how much "too much" is. :)

My first few Expos, I did everything, saw everything, drank everything, ate everything....Then I learned what too much was and scaled back. :) It certainly does sound like you've got full days in the classroom planned!
