Aperture

I was gifted with Aperture lately, and I gotta say, it's pretty cool for dumping photos into, doing color correction, cropping, straightening and such. But what I'd like to know, is how to customize the web gallery template, and how to export photos to my desktop for things like, say, adding to my blog.

If you're using Aperture, let's chat about it here!

Exporting photos

Have you tried just... dragging images from the Aperture library to the desktop? :) Worked for at least one photo here. Though of course, it was already in JPEG. File > Export > Export Version should do what you want for RAW files.

I did indeed drag images

I did indeed drag images from Aperture to the desktop, and that worked just fine. I was wondering if there was a more advanced feature that would keep me from dragging them right back into Photoshop to resize.

Is there a way to resize an export from Aperture?

Exporting and more

I am so glad that you are starting with Aperture.
Aperture need a DEVA and who better then you once you get in to it.
As for you exporting question select your images go to file> Export Version >a box will pop up-under Export Preset click and hold pull down a list will pop up. At the bottom of the list where says Edit..... That will give you the presets box fine a preset that close to what you want > hit the plus in the lower left corner name your preset make the other changes you want color profile width Height what ever then hit the OK button and your good to go and it will be in you Exports list next time you need it.
Hope this helps.
