4.9 Bug

Hey Shawn and Lesa,

Just wanted to let you know that I have installed OSX 4.9 on three Macs and found a minor but irritating bug with it. Each Mac now has a problem with the eject button that didn't exist before. If you press eject, nothing happens. You have to press and hold the eject button for about a second before the tray opens.

Who at Apple do I report this problem too?

Actually, Apple already knows about this

In the article listed below, it definitely sounds like Apple did this on purpose to prevent people from accidentally having their drives eject when, for example, they meant to press F12 (if on a notebook). I'm not trying to justify the behavior. I'm only saying that it looks like Apple didn't do this by accident.

It's possible if Apple gets enough negative feedback about this feature, they may decide to make it an option as to whether there's a delay or not.
