YML Macworld 2009 Hotel Survey

Once again Your Mac Life hopes to work with IDG, conference organizers of Macworld Conference & Expo 2009, to make it easy for YML listeners to plan their trip to San Francisco for Macworld by arranging a block of rooms at a great hotel.

poll is broken

The poll site does the first page but breaks when you try to go to the next page. Tried twice, same problem.

Re: Poll is Broken

Hi Jim,

Actually the poll is only 6 questions in length, so when you finish answering the 6 questions, and hit the continue button, it just takes you to a second page of nothing (I believe it may give you some kind of indication that you're done with the survey...maybe)..but ya, it's a little confusing.

Others have completed it so it is working; I was able to check completion stats.

Good luck..and thanks for taking the time to complete the survey!

BTW. I hate The Pickwick. The Courtyard Marriott blows the PW away.

The Pickwick Hotel:
-- Bartender bitched me out for taking my wine glass out of the bar into the lounge to sit and talk with others. I had to promise repeatedly to him I that would bring the empty glass back to the bar when I was done.
-- Next day: Bartender refused to accept a $50 bill for a glass of wine and give me change.
-- My room had NO drawers, only a cheap vinyl shoe tree hanging in the closet to put 7 days of clothes in.
-- Doorman insisted on using HIS choice of Shuttle Service (instead of the one I took in and had a coupon for). They were so late, I almost missed my flight home.
-- Room was noisy, traffic and screaming homeless people hanging out on the steps across the street.
-- Lack of any bathroom counter space, just a sink.
-- Computer networking was inadequate and sometimes didn't work at all.
Minor points:
-- Downstairs lounge was ugly and sterile. (Marriott's is gorgeous, inviting, comfortable, with a relaxing fireplace and has a staff that waits on you for drinks, happily brings you change for $50 bills, and takes your empty glass away.)

Maybe I'm more critical than most, but MW is my only vacation alone to do what I want, and I want it to be as nice as my Marriott experiences were the first 2x I was at MW.

Well, that's my full opinion anyway that you can't get out of the survey Q.'s. I hope I can make it to MW this year. Depends on finances.

And sorry I haven't been able to be on chat for the YML show Wed. nights—we're off racing cars with the kid, or were dragging him to a learning center 30+ miles away for Study Skills help. Miss you guys! I'll be back soon. : ) : ) : )
