Toon Boom Animation has introduced Flip Boom, a new animation tool aimed specifically at kids.

The software is designed as an introduction to traditional animation. It offers up a friendly interface with all the tools kids need to get started on simple animation projects, including editing tools, drawing tools, speed control, looping, and publishing tools that let you export your movies to different formats.

Flip Boom is available exclusively as a download from Toon Boom’s Web site. The $29.99 price is introductory — its full retail price is $39.99.
