iPhone goes to 16GB while iPod touch hits 32GB
From Ars Technica
Apple threw a couple of post-Macworld updates our way this morning with updates to both the iPhone and iPod touch line. Both devices received a hefty double in max storage space—the iPhone now comes in 8GB and 16GB models, while the iPod touch is now in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB models. "For some users, there’s never enough memory," Apple VP Greg Joswiak said in a statement. Yeah, no kidding!
For those of you who recently bought iPod touches or iPhones, though, don't stress out too much—the prices are still the same for those models. The 8GB iPhone remains at $399 with the 16GB version debuting at $499 (the original price of the 4GB iPhone when it launched). Similarly, the 8GB iPod touch was (and still is) $299, with the 16GB version $399 and 32GB version $499.
