Boycott MacHeist. It really is that Simple
From Ryhmes with Geek
As if they didn't already have a bit of a reputation in some parts, it seems the people behind MacHeist have really decided to sink as low as they can this year.
If you're involved with MacHeist in any way, I'd like to take a moment to thank you. I wondered if you were all as big a bunch of tossers as I suspected and you have now removed any doubt in my mind. So is the MUpromo.com more of the same?
They say Macsantadeals.com is good for all, what do you all think of the mupromo.com discount / marketing model?
(I've bought in, it's a good deal to my eyes / wallet, even though I've had Yep and Pulpmotion for a while...)
I've never used any of these
I've never used any of these "Buy 1 get 7" kind of deals. I find the other pieces of software aren't things I'd want/use so it's not much of a deal.

I quite like Mac Santa
Hi, I'm the owner of the Rhymes With Geek site (thanks for the link Shawn!).
I quite like Mac Santa, and have picked up a few bits and pieces there myself. Leaving aside the whole "hacker" thing, I prefer Mac Santa because it's a percentage off the price and each developer manages their own participation in the scheme, so with a "bundle" like Mac Heist last year, I might only have wanted Delicious Library and figured on getting the other programs for free, which seems kinda wasteful, but with Mac Santa I only buy what I want and the developer will end up with more of my money.
